"This job satisfies both sides of my brain" - Lauren Villacara-Berman. Never did she realize when joining the Berman Skin Institute in 1996 that the position would be the perfect opportunity for Lauren to combine her curiosities in science and medicine, her passion for everything artistic, and her love of teaching. Lauren worked as Office Manager and Patient Educator until January of 2003. During that time she helped the practice grow from just a few employees and exam rooms to its current group of 19+ and half the third floor at 900 Welch Road.

Lauren takes particular pride in leading the accreditation process of the outpatient surgical center, which has received the highest level of accreditation with every survey. Lauren holds a Bachelor Degree in Communication Studies and has significant experience in health education, human resources and management. Lauren currently works as a patient consultant, doing what she loves by informing patients about their treatment options. Her outside interests include enjoying her role as "mom," theatre, film, reading, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
