Born in Quincy, Massachusetts and raised in the Bay Area, Julie majored in Accounting at San Jose State. She had 15 years of accounting experience in the internet and manufacturing fields before switching to medicine in 2003 so she could have more contact with people. She joined the staff of the Berman Skin Institute in January 2006; in November she was promoted to Chief Administrator. Julie is the Institute’s resident expert in insurance questions, and especially enjoys working with patients to help them get the authorizations they need for their treatments. She appreciates working in an office that is innovative and offers a wide variety of treatment options for patients.

Julie says, “I like coming to work each day because the office is an extension of my family.” And family is extremely important to her. Julie is raising two “very wonderful” girls. In her free time she coaches her daughter’s soccer team, reads and “surfs the net.”
